The film is a modern love story about a young man named Will Donner, an extraordinary character not bound by the same rules and conventions to which we mere mortals adhere. With no full time job or family to tie him down, he is a free spirit: a character who is unpredictable in wonderful ways, but also in ways that make the people who know him uneasy. He is part Chauncey Gardiner, the unforgettable character Peter Sellers portrayed in Being There, and part Charlie Chaplin, but in spite of his grace and love of life he realizes the hard way how unique his view of the world really is.
