Short Film
Shortly before his execution in Israel, Adolf Eichmann would write a two-part memoir featured in Time Magazine, complaining that Denmark's successful evacuation of Jews and organized resistance in World War II posed the greatest difficulties of all for the Nazi regime. 15-40 is the true story of Danish tennis player, Kai Hansen who, during the Nazi occupation of Denmark, has to make the decision of his life.An unflinching competitor, Kai Hansen is well on his way to winning a spot at the European championships in Sweden. Under a comfortable Nazi occupation, Kai's world is limited to the court and to the many luxuries that his status affords him. In order for him to realize his dream of participating in the European Championships in Sweden, he has to defeat aging tennis great, Erik Bjarnson. But when it is discovered that Erik might in fact be a Jew, and that a massive deportation of Danish Jews is planned by the Nazis, Kai has to decide whether to risk it all or for his countrymen or remain veiled in a life of pride and privilege.
Narrative Feature Film/OFF the EDGE
A man is lost on a desolate street. He’s not sure how he got there, but he’s got a job to do. Over the long and empty nights he seeks to complete his objectives, all the while haunted by verdant images of a cowboy in the woods. Soon, this odd “agent” discovers he has outlived his use. Desotell’s strikingly shot play on film noir utilizes unique digital imagery and a stark existentialist narrative to turn a melancholy eye on modern society and relationships. Agent 5 is a piece that will stay with you long after you leave the theater.

Amerigo the Brave is a new short film from writer-director Jonathan Tvrdik. Intimate and fiercely honest, it is a morality play that delves into the shocking manipulation and greed that make us distinctly human. It is Brooklyn, 1946, and all hopes the young Amerigo Cortina (Jon Purcell) once had for his fledgling circus are quickly circling the drain. Desperate to attract any press he can get, Amerigo secretly lets leak to the papers that his new star from Germany, Jacob Diefendorf (Bill Hutson), may or may not have been a Nazi. So delighted is Amerigo that his plan has worked, he spends the first big night in the circus' history with his head in the clouds, relegating his blind wife, Josephine (Nora Vetter), the most demeaning of tasks.Unfortunately for all concerned, it is because of his coldness that Josephine lets slip to Jacob Amerigo's deceit and the future of the three, which all were seemingly intertwined, comes crashing down in one night.
